Read this. It’s a bottoms-up solution using very modern tools that addresses traditional journalism’s bottoms-up problems — finally.
Ning’s got some fun stuff going, but http://wiredjournalists.com aka mediageeks.ning.com could really make a difference to some folks who can use the support.

Jason’s even more down on 2008 than I am, at least from this morning’s twitter replies. I think that’s because he’s outside Silicon Valley more than he’s here.
I’ve been saying since 2004 that the Dotcom2 cycle would end in mid-2008, but I think Jason is overestimating the effect that the US’s self-induced [...]
