Early Angel Investors //Updated

Dave and I frequently push each other on increased transparency. We generally think that it’s both good business and good karma. He asked me to publish our investors as they come on board. I’m not a big fan of releasing funding information, so I pushed back in this case. Here’s the list of reasons Dave used to get me to do it:

* increase the odds of random positive connections/introductions for each investor by people discovering a possible connection to use through one of them

* increase their emotional attachment to Lookery

* put the investors on notice that we plan to extract every ounce of value from them. :) i.e. we will pimp their “derrieres” [NB: editor's replacement term for investor's anatomical feature] on the street.

The first three to make the leap with us are, in order of their checks clearing:
Ted Dintersmith (blog), acting as an individual not as part of CRV,
Maurice Werdegar, and
Roger Ehrenberg (blog), who is also an angel investor in Mashery.

Update: The kind-ish post from CenterNetworks taught me two things: (1) that Adult material was showing up via our early publishers (Thanks for the heads up.). We’ll decide what, if anything, to do about editing the feed and post the result; and (2) I was ambiguous about the angel funding. These are the first few investors of what will be a larger group.
