Featured Site of the Week : tipjoy

tipjoy is a simple micro payment solution site. Personally speaking, I had to give it a try on my own blog, and what I found out was a very fun and addictive way to find new web content. If you like the content, you toss them a dime, quarter, or any amount designated by the site owner. While studying their data, we find that it currently has a 2 to 1 male audience at this time.

Along with the above gender data, the below country data seems to suggest an English speaking country trend at this time.

The really cool thing about this site is that by studying the above early return data, as the site grabs a foothold on the world at large, it will be interesting to watch the data change over time as it grows. I don’t believe that a micro payment solutions site will be an “English only” site for very long. They are fully embracing the social media tools available and utilizing one of the more viral ones going today which is twitter.

Studying statistics about your site can help you determine where your site needs improvement or in some cases as with our featured site of the week, you will be able to see the trends of the data change to the audience you are trying to attract. It simple to do, and very easy to create your own account to start watching your audience morph into what you envision.
